Your planner & allocations
See what you're allocated to and when, and keep your allocations in sync with your own calendar.
The planner shows what you're allocated to and when. It's your at-a-glance view of the work coming up, laid out on a timeline so you can see how your days and weeks are shaping up.
Read the timeline#
Open the planner from the left sidebar to see your allocations on a timeline. Each allocation represents work you're scheduled for, with its dates, so you can quickly tell what's on now and what's ahead.
If you don't see a planner section, your organization may not have it enabled, or it may not be part of your role. See Getting started for how the sidebar reflects your organization's setup.
View-only vs editing#
For most members, the planner is view-only — you can see your allocations but not change them. Planning is usually handled by the people responsible for scheduling.
If you've been granted edit rights, you'll be able to make changes directly. If you think your allocations are wrong and you can't edit them, reach out to whoever manages planning in your organization.
Stay in the loop by email#
You can choose to be notified as things change, straight from your notification preferences in account Settings:
- Daily summary email — opt in to a once-a-day rundown of your allocations so you start the day knowing what's on.
- Allocation-change alerts — get notified when your allocations are added, changed, or removed.
To set these up, head to Notifications & preferences and turn on the ones you want.
Subscribe in your own calendar#
Prefer to see your allocations alongside the rest of your schedule? You can subscribe to them in your own calendar app using an iCal link.
- Find your personal iCal link in the planner or your account settings.
- Add it as a subscribed calendar in your calendar app (for example, your work or personal calendar).
- Your allocations then appear in your calendar and stay updated automatically.
Because it's a subscription, changes to your allocations flow through to your calendar without you having to re-import anything.
